Creating with Fabric
 How It All Started

While researching sewing machines for our daughter, Bill discovered a sewing machine with a computer that runs Microsoft Windows®.  Having made our living with computers, we could not resist visiting the local Bernina dealer and seeing a demonstration of this machine.  Not only did it sew, it embroidered!  And you could connect to the internet to download embroidery designs.

In December 2002, a Bernina Artista came home with us and Cheryl spent the next six months attending the various "Machine Mastery" classes to learn what the Artista would do and how to do it.

Blankets for the grandchildren were the first items to come forth as gifts.  A neighbor invited Cheryl to join a local quilting group and it is their sharing, teaching, and encouragement that led to actual quilting accomplishments.

The Simply Quilts television show with host Alex Anderson provided on-going inspiration through demonstrations and tips.

And, while Cheryl hasn't been able to talk Bill into quilting himself, his eye for color has been an invaluable contribution in all of her projects.

Cheryl continues to be amazed at how much there is to learn ... and what can be done with fabric ... and how much fun it is!
